The final results of Third General Election Part Three were announced naming MNL48’s Third Generation Center and Senbatsu (Top 16) ranking. On February 20, 2021 on It’s Showtime live announcement as part of the three day online event of MNL48’s Third General Election.

The MNL48 Third General Election is an annual event where fans get to vote for their favourite members who they think should be part of the Top 48, following the system of MNL48’s international sister group, AKB48.

The official members will be grouped according to their rankings based from the voting result: Senbatsu (Top 1 to 16), Under Girls (Top 17 to 32), and Rank 33 to 36 are official members of MNL48 and reserve for Undergirls and/or Senbatsu in case of unavailability or absence of those group members. Top 37 to 48 would be Third Generation’s Kenkyuusei or trainees.

For this year, MNL48 Abby, who ranked at the 3rd spot during the Second General Election last 2019, is now our newly crowned Third Generation Center. MNL48 Abby is both happy and emotional to be Third Generation’s Center.

“I’m very happy, I’m so happy! I’m emotional right now because I can’t believe I’m the 3rd Generation’s Center! I am excited to be the next Center for the 7th single! I am very thankful for the support of my fans and I’m going to do my very best to make all of my supporters proud of me.”

Meanwhile, this generation’s Kami 7, is composed of MNL48 Abby, Sheki, Jamie, Ruth, Ella, Jan and Andi. The Top 7 means the most popular members among the group for the Third Generation.

The ranking results of the Third General Election ranking system were based 100% from the public voting happened from March 15, 2020 until November 30, 2020 through MNL48 official website and Fan Club app by using a voting ticket that can be availed by purchasing any selected MNL48 merchandise and MNL48 6th Single Album.

The result was checked and verified by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) representative and Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. (HHE) officials to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the election data.

The final results of Third General Election Part Two were announced naming MNL48’s new members of the Undergirls and Kenkyuusei. On February 13, 2020 on It’s Showtime Online Universe as part of the three part online event of MNL48’s Third General Election.

The MNL48 Third General Election is an annual event where fans get to vote for their favourite members who they think should be part of the Top 48, following the system of MNL48’s international sister group, AKB48.

An official letter from Hallohallo Entertainment was announced with regards to the official ranking of members and announcement of Kenkyuusei.

“Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. (HHE) would like to formally announce that, MNL48’s Top 37 to 48 would be Third Generation’s Kenkyuusei or trainees. Rank 33 to 36 are official members of MNL48 and reserve for Undergirls and/or Senbatsu in case of unavailability or absence of those group members. This year’s Undergirls, Rank 17 to 32, will be the members of the 7^th Single Coupling Song. Lastly, MNL48’s Senbatsu, Rank 1 to 16, will be the members of the 7^th Single of MNL48 which would be announced very soon.”

Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. (HHE) would like to formally announce that MNL48 Shaira, Shaina, and Emz has been terminated from MNL48 today, December 31, 2020 due to a major violation.

We would like to reiterate that HHE gives serious attention to all rules and regulations established to each member that were discussed to them and their guardians upon signing of their contracts. By outright disregarding and violating the regulations set by HHE, the management has to take immediate and necessary actions to properly address this matter.

The Philippine’s first idol group, MNL48, launched their newest and iconic 6th Single music video “River” as they enter a new era today, November 27, 2020 in MNL48’s official Youtube channel.

MNL48’s 6th Single “River” is spearheaded by double centers MNL48 Abby and MNL48 Gabb.

On the other hand, MNL48 Brei Coleen, Jan, Sela, Ella, Alice, Jamie, Laney, Sheki, Belle and first time Senbatsu members, Amy, Frances, Gia, and Jaydee are also part of the River Senbatsu.

The “River” music video according to Director Miko Pelino, which is also the director of MNL48’s 5th Single “High Tension, the music video shows that life would be full of challenges and MNL48 showcased how to fight all the obstacles and challenges in life.

“The concept behind the music video shows us that we should be in fighting mode when dealing with challenges. It also shows that celebrating small victories aren’t a bad thing and that we should always be ready for the next obstacle in life.” Director Pelino stated.

In addition, Director Pelino mentioned that the music video would be different from the other “River” music videos of the 48g, he added “The difference is that the music video shows how colorful life is with all the ups and downs that come with it.”

As one of the newly discerned center of MNL48’a 6th single, MNL48 Abby is beyond words how grateful and excited she is for this new era. According to her, it’s her responsibility to do her best and exceed the expectation of the supporters.”

“I prepared myself to be stronger and healthier. We did everything to have a nice and perfect results even we are facing pandemic right now. I would say that 6th single is one of the best, and people should really set their expectations high. The vibe and the energy is so powerful. Every Senbatsu member worked hard for this.” MNL48 Abby stated.

MNL48 Abby is thankful for all the support that she have received in her entire journey and up until now that she is one of the center of MNL48’s 6th Single.

“I have received so much support and love from my supporters and I’d like to say thank you, thank you for staying with me through ups and downs. I am very grateful for the support that they had given me. I am overwhelmed to have lovely people in my life. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your incredible support.” MNL48 Abby stated.

First time Senbatsu MNL48 Frances and MNL48 Jaydee shared how overwhelmed and blessed they are for being part of the iconic River Senbatsu.

“It feels so surreal. I can't explain into words how grateful I am to be part of the Senbatsu for the first time. I'm so blessed to be part of one of the best songs of MNL48.” MNL48 Frances.

On the other hand, MNL48 Jaydee stated, “Nakaka-overwhelmed po kasi after 3 years of waiting, finally naging part na rin ako ng Senbatsu, and of course I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who supported me from the beginning, up until today that I’ve achieved my dream, that is to become part of the MNL48 Senbatsu.”

Baby Blue is set to launch “Negastar” on November 25, 2020 with a whole different vibe to it. The second digital single “Negastar” is far different from the previous single of Baby Blue, this second single would be heavy R&B sound full of hip-hop colors.

Baby Blue is composed of MNL48 members, namely Jan, Amy and Coleen. Baby Blue will highlight and showcase their take on R&B and Hip-hop genre.
