Hallo Hallo Alliance together with MNL48 gives back through an outreach program in Tarlac

by Mnl48 Philippines

“Hallo Hallo Alliance extends its deepest sympathy and prayers to all the victims of Typhoon Ompong. We hope that our simple gesture of helping the Camiling community will ease the devastating aftermath that Ompong has brought to the families.”

Last September 23, 2018, Hallo Hallo Alliance together with MNL48 members Belle, Jan, Kay, Brei, Lei, Coleen, and Rans visited the victims of Typhoon Ompong at Camiling Sports Complex in Tarlac to hand relief goods as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

With the assistance of Municipality of Camiling Mayor Erlon Clemente Agustin, MNL48 members and Hallo Hallo Alliance staff personally distributed donations from the employees and relief goods they packed for the residents as a way of helping the victims survive while recovering from the calamity.

Having a soft heart for the elderly and people in need, Team L member Lei Lacumba shared that she’s still very eager to join her co-members in Tarlac despite having flu. “Si lola nakikita ko po kasi dati sa amin pumipila rin po para humingi ng mga ganyan. Kanina nga po habang naga-abot ako ng mga relief goods sa mga matatanda naiisip ko po si lola, naiiyak po talaga ako.”

“Parang ito nalang ‘yung way para makapag give back kami sa mga blessings na natatanggap namin. Sobrang maswerte kami na hindi kami nakakaranas ng ganito,” Lei added.

Rikka Kiriena La Morena Andres who has been working as the Municipal Social Welfare Development Officer in Camiling for over three years described the people in their town as resilient.

“During the calamity, makikita mo kung pano ‘yung paghihirap nila kasi ang taas ng water level dito sa amin kahit flash flood lang, kaya lang ‘yung biglaang dating ng tubig. Naka-evacuate sila agad sa mga designated areas namin,” she recalled.

Andres also expressed her sincerest gratitude to Hallo Hallo Alliance family for their compassion for the victims and their effort to reach out to Camiling community. “Sana patuloy pa silang biyayaan ng mahabang buhay at lakas para mas maging instrumento pa sa mga kagaya ng mga taga-Camiling na nasalanta.”

An 85-year-old woman, from Poblacion D in Tarlac, Arsenia Domingo who also lined up to get some relief goods, narrated how the flash flood caused by the Typhoon destroyed their home and reached up to thesecond floor. Although they wanted to relocate to a safer place, they don’t have the financial capacity.

“Nagtitiis na lang talaga kami, kaya maganda na pumunta ang Hallo Hallo Alliance at MNL48 kasi sobrang laking tulong ‘to sa amin, nabigayn nila ng ngiti ang bawat isa sa amin, nagkaroon kami ng bagong pagasa na may mabubuting loob na tumutulong para makaahon kami,” she concluded.

As soon as Hallo Hallo Alliance knew about the disaster, the company with the help of its employees reached out to the municipalities which are badly hit by the typhoon to send help. The company has chosen the community of Tarlac to be the beneficiary of the relief goods and donations gathered from the employees.

MNL48 First Gen and Kenkyuusei perform their own version of Sakura No Hanabiratachi

by Mnl48 Philippines

MNL48 First Generation and Kenkyuusei sang its official rendition of AKB48’s Sakura No Hanabiratachi on national television for the first time on June 9 after the success of their first ever MNL48 Fan Meet at Centris Elements last June 3, 2018.

Looking back, MNL48 performed on ABS-CBN’s noontime show It’s Showtime as MNL48 aspirants for 15 weeks for the past months to show off their singing and dancing skills to become part of the newest idol group in the country, where they underwent difficult challenges during their trainings and rehearsals.

Alice, the overall team captain of MNL48 expressed her gratitude towards their fans, on behalf of her fellow members. “Yung dati pong aspirants, ngayon idol na po na nakapagperform na live na live dito sa It’s showtime. Yung mga paghihirap po na pinagdaanan po namin ito na po unti-unti na po namin nakakamtan dahil po sa lahat ng sumusuporta samin, wala po kami dito kundi dahil sa inyo.”

As MNL48 represents the Philippines around the world, Alice also asked for every one's genuine and full support to the group. “Please be patient with us po na maipakita po kung anong talent po ang meron ang Pilipinas, na magiging magandang ehemplo po kami sa mga kabataan.”

Sheki, on the other hand explained her role being the Center Girl of the group. “Nandito po ako to lead the whole group po, kung pano po kami magwo-work together as a group. Alam ko po marami pa kaming pagdaaanan l will make sure po na lahat kami pantay-pantay na ibibigay yung best namin para mag shine po ang bawat isa sa amin.”

It’s Showtime hosts Karylle, Vhong and Anne also agreed that the girls have improved in terms of their performance as well as their looks compared to their previous appearances.

Despite the hard challenges, bigger opportunities are lined up for them as they received an overwhelming support from their fans on their recent Fan Meet meet, where they first sang the Filipino version of AKB48 songs Heavy Rotation, Aitakatta and Sakura No Hanabiratachi.

Meanwhile, everyone was surprised when Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. announced on MNLife that Trixie, Zen, Van and Mae decided to back out because of the challenge of not seeing their families every day, difficult trainings and to focus on their studies.

Because of this, Ash and Ella are now part of the Kami 7, while Alyssa and Erica are the new members of Senbatsu. Rans, Nina, Andi and Coleen of Kenkyuusei on the other hand, became members of MNL48 from being trainees or Kenkyuusei to replace the four girls who backed out.
